Cuba is the 8th largest archipelago in the world, consisting of the main island Cuba, Isla de La Juventud (the Isle of Youth) and four minor archipelagos with nearly 1600 small islands and cays. The main island is over 700 miles long and home to four mountain ranges, nine UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the largest mangrove forest and 36 percent of all the coral reefs in the Caribbean basin. Twenty five percent of Cuba’s marine and coastal areas are under protection and the ecosystems are healthier than in any other Caribbean country.

Cuba also boasts the most coveted tobacco crop in the world and the best rum, and over 500 years of architecture, history and culture. The world’s fascination with Cuba is only further enhanced by live music around every corner, a vibrant emerging culinary and fashion scene, and the warm, welcoming embrace of the Cuban people.
